Who We Are
Avoyelles Council on Aging provides a variety of services to meet the needs of seniors, so that they may live independently in their homes and communities.

Avoyelles Council on Aging was Chartered in 1967 and started out in a small room in the Avoyelles Parish Court House. Today, we are serving over two hundred seniors, daily, with congregated services, in-home services and public transportation.
Congregate Meals
Congregate meals, are meals that are served in a friendly, communal environment.
Come have a hot, healthy and well-balanced meal while meeting with friends old and new.
Homebound Meals
Homebound Meals delivers healthy, well-balanced meals to residents in Avoyelles Parish. Clients may be signed up by loved ones, social workers, outpatient rehabilitation staff, or self-pay.
Homemaker Services
Homemaker services provide assistance to those who are unable to perform day to day household duties and have no one available to assist them. It includes services like light housekeeping, laundry, limited personal care, grocery shopping, meal preparation, and shopping.
